One of our friend Chithra suggested me to try a Gujarati-Rajasthani Restaurant called Mathsuk's at T. The day after she suggested i went there, as i love Rajasthani - Gujarati Food's. Gujarati kadhi (Gujarati: કઢી) is a Gujarati version of kadhi. It is a very popular Gujarati dish made from buttermilk or dahi (yogurt) and gram flour.
Steps to make Gujarati bhindi kadhi:
- Add oil to the pan and saute the ladies finger with a pinch of salt. - - Once sauted well, transfer it to another bowl.
- In a pan, add yogurt, gram flour, ginger, garlic and green chillies. - - Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, hing, sugar and salt.
- Add water little and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan and then add mustard, cumin and fenugreek.
- Then add curry leaves and dry red chilli
- Now add the sauted ladies finger and mix well.
- Then add the yoghurt-gram flour and mix together.
- Heat for 10 minutes on a medium fire.
- Then sprinkle the coriander leaves.
- Serve with a hot rice.
