- In a bowl take the besan.
- Add half tspn salt to it.
- Then add half tspn red chilli powder.
- Add water and make the batter.
- See the consistency of the batter.
- It should be little bit thick.
- Now on the other side take a bowl and mash all the potatoes.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, dhania powder, hing, chopped coriander leaves and green chilli to it.
- Mix it very well.
- There should not be any lumps in it.
- Now make the balls of it.
- Heat the oil.
- Dip the balls into the batter and leave it in the oil.
- Deep fry it.
- When it gets brown and crispy, it is done.
- Serve these batata vada with ketchup or chutney.
