- Make ready 3 Potato medium size
- Get 1 cup Onion finely chopped
- Make ready 1 tsp Finely chopped ginger

- Take Making Batter
- Take 1 cup Besan/gram flour
- Take 1/4 cup Cornflour
- Get to taste Salt
- Make ready 1/4 tsp Termeric powder
- Take 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
- Make ready 1 tsp Ajwain seeds
- Get 1 tsp Oil
- Get 1/2 tsp Baking soda
Serve hot with tea and green chutney / tomato ketch up. Serving Ideas: Serve Batata Vada as a snack or side dish with green chilli and coriander chutney. Instructions to make Batata Vada:
- For Stuffing- Boiled and mashed the potato.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustared seeds,cumin seeds,crushed Coriander,curry leaves and satue.
- Add onion and satue well then add ginger,green chilli and again satue.add cashew nuts and roasted.
- Add salt,termeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala powder and satue well.
- Add boiled and mashed potato and satue and add Coriander leaves and mix it and add lime juice and mix.
- Making Batter - In a large mixing bowl add 1 cup gram flour,cornflour,salt,termeric powder,red chilli powder, ajwain and mix it.
- Add water as required and mix it and making a smooth paste.
- Add oil and baking soda and mix well.
- For deep fry - Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Take a alu stuffing and making a ball size and coat the batter and deep fry on the hot oil.
- Stir continousely and turned a golden brown then switch off the gas.
- Garnished with curry leaves and ketchup.
