Instructions to make Batata vada:
  1. Mash the potatoes. Add in some salt chopped green chillies turmeric powder ginger garlic paste lime juice hing and chopped coriander leaves and mash well.
  2. Add besan in a bowl. Add some salt red chilli powder and a pinch of hing. Add water and make a slurry
  3. Make equal sized balls out of the potato mixture.
  4. Heat an appe pan. Add oil drops in the cavities.
  5. Dip the potato balls in the besan slurry and add in the cavities.
  6. Cook the vadas from all sides adding drops of oil on between.
  7. Cook till crisp. Remove from the appe pan and serve with any sauce.
