Murukku recipe - Murukulu or murukku is a deep fried Snack made with rice flour and dal flour. Chakli, chakuli, chakralu and jantikalu are the other Indian names to these. Murukku recipe with step by step pics.

The ingredients needed to make Murukku:
  1. Get 1 Cup Rice flour
  2. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. Prepare 2 tsp Black Til( sesame Seeds) but I have used the White Til
  4. Take 2 Tablespoon Gram flour
  5. Prepare As needed Oil for deep frying
  6. Prepare 1 Cup water
  7. Get 1 Tablespoon Ghee

Murukku,is a favourite south indian delicacy or snack. It is a nice item,prepared with rice ,urad dal,salt and oil. There are many variants of this popular variety, namely, Murukku, Mullu murukku. Murukku is one of the most interesting and delicious Indian snack item.

Steps to make Murukku:
  1. 1st switch on the gas and place a kadhai add 1 Cup water to it and add salt, Til, Ghee and at last Rice flour to it and mix them and cover it and turn off the gas flame. Rest it for 10 mins.
  2. Now take a Mould and grease it with little oil on it. Now after 10 mins Knead the Rice flour mix. Take some oil on your palm then transfer it to a Murukku mould.
  3. Now Switch on the gas and place a Kadhai for deep frying. With the help of Murukku maker shape it round and round and place it on a butter paper so that it will not stick.
  4. Now fry them in a medium flame
  5. If one side done and the bubbles disappear then flip it to other side and again keep frying for 2 to 3 mins. In the middle just rise the flame to get brown color. Same repeat the process with the other Murukku. It's ready Enjoy it with a cup of Tea.
