Lotaru is one of the most popular of recent trending foods on earth. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Lotaru is something which I have loved my whole life.
To begin with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can have lotaru using 18 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Lotaru:
- Prepare 2 cups sorghum (jowar) flour
- Take 2 tbsp rice flour
- Get 1 tbsp white part of spring onion chopped
- Make ready 1/4 cup chopped onions
- Prepare 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Get 1 cup chopped fenugreek leaves
- Get to taste Salt
- Make ready 4 tbsp oil
- Make ready 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Make ready 3 tsp red chilli powder
- Make ready 1 tsp coriander and cumin seeds powder
- Take 1 tsp ginger paste
- Take 2 tbsp green chilli paste
- Get 1 tbsp garlic paste
- Make ready 3/4-1 cup Water around
- Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- Prepare as required dry garlic chutney
Steps to make Lotaru:
- In a mixing bowl take sorghum flour and rice flour.
- Now add chopped spring onions white part, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander and cumin seeds powder.
- Now add 2 tbsp oil, salt and green chilli, garlic and ginger paste to it.
- Now add chopped fenugreek leaves, chopped coriander leaves and water to the mixture. The contents should not become like batter but should bind with water properly as shown in the picture.
- In a double bottomed steel pan take the remaining oil and heat it. Add cumin seeds to it and when they change colour add the ready mixture.
- Cover it and cook for about 10-12 minutes, keep stirring in between occasionally. If it sticks to the surface of the pan keep scraping it. When the mixture turns crumbly your lotaru is ready.
- Serve the ready lotaru with dry garlic chutney.
- If having in dinner then serve it with bhakharis and dry garlic chutney.
