- Boil water in Idli Cooker. Spread 1 cup of batter in oil-greased plate and make a thin layer. Sprinkle 4 5pinch of jeera/black pepper/red chilli powder over the layer. Now put this plate in cooker and steam it for 20-25 minutes.
- Take the plate out of cooker and insert a tooth pick. If batter still sticking to it, then it's still raw. If not, then it is cooked well. Now make criss cross slices in the plate and enjoy Real Gujarati Dhokla by dipping into Peanuts Oil or Garlic Red Chilli Chutney.
